We would love to know more about you! Who you are and where you're from? When did you start street photography?

I live in Stockholm. Photography is my hobby. I started by photographing nature, and later I got into street photography.

What inspired you to become a street photographer?

It all began when I started participating in the Stockholm Street Photomarathon and gradually I became passionate about this style. I was drawn to Street photography for a mix of curiosity, creativity and that little thrill of catching something real and unrepeatable. A big part of it is the unpredictability - the street is like a live stage where anything can happen.

How would you describe your work in terms of style and/or approach?

I focus on candid, unscripted moments - capturing everyday life with an eye for light, emotion, and subtle storytelling.

What is your photography routine like? Do you photograph every day?

I do photography in my free time when I have days off, a few times a month.

What camera or mobile device do you use for photography? Do you shoot digitally, on film, or a mix of both?

I'm using two Nikon digital cameras with 18–55 mm and 55–200 mm lenses, and sometimes my mobile phone.

What challenges do you face when photographing on the street?

One of the biggest challenges is capturing natural moments without disturbing people. And finding interesting scenes at the right moment can also be challenging.

Do you ever wonder what happens to the people in your photos?

Yes, sometimes I do. I like to imagine their stories and what their lives are like beyond that captured moment.

In your opinion, what is the biggest misconception people have about street photography?

Many people think street photography is easy because everything happens naturally, but capturing the right moment actually requires patience, timing, and observation.

What are your favourite elements to capture in a street photograph? (light, colour, composition, human interaction, etc.)

My favourite element in street photography is people. I enjoy capturing human emotions, interactions, expressions, and small everyday moments that often go unnoticed. I also love interesting light and composition, but for me the people are what truly bring a photograph to life and tell a story.

What is your take on social media influence on street photography?

Social media has had a huge impact on street photography, photographers can share their work instantly, reach global audiences, and get inspired by others all over the world. It has also helped many talented street photographers gain recognition.

Are your prints available for purchase? If so, where can art buyers and collectors contact you to purchase them?

At the moment my prints are not available for purchase.

What advice would you give to aspiring photographers?

I would say practice a lot, don’t be shy, be creative and try different approaches. Most importantly find your own style and don’t be afraid to develop it over time.

A huge thank you to Inga Englund for sharing her incredible journey.
