Pure Street Photography® (PSP) is a global platform dedicated to street photographers seeking meaningful curation, visibility, and long term artistic growth. Through memberships, awards, grants, exhibitions, and digital showcases, PSP supports photographers at every stage of their journey.

Founded in 2020 by photographers Dimpy Bhalotia and Kamal Kumaar Rao, Pure Street Photography has grown into a globally recognised ecosystem focused on the timeless art of street photography. What began as a small initiative has evolved into an international network representing photographers from over 39 countries, united by a shared respect for observation, patience, and human presence.

PSP is built on curation with intent. Every photograph featured on the platform is carefully reviewed, not for trends or popularity, but for honesty, timing, emotion, and visual strength. This thoughtful process helps photographers recognise their strongest work, refine their visual language, and build portfolios that stand confidently on an international stage.

Pure Street Photography extends far beyond social media. Through curated memberships, international awards, grants, physical exhibitions, and digital exhibitions, PSP offers photographers meaningful visibility, professional guidance, and sustained creative development. It is a space where feedback is sincere, opportunities are genuine, and every photographer, regardless of background or experience, is treated with equal respect.

More than a platform, Pure Street Photography is a living ecosystem. It is a space to learn, refine, gain recognition, and belong. Here, photographers do not simply share photographs. They grow through them.

Over time, PSP has become a trusted name in the global street photography community. From first features to major exhibitions and publications, the platform continues to support photographers in building confidence, clarity, and creative direction, while cultivating a deeper appreciation for the ever evolving world of street photography.

Pure Street Photography continues to nurture a global movement that champions artistic expression, creativity, and the enduring power of street photography.

Founder’s Note

"When I first joined social media, I was eager to get featured as much as possible. It helped me understand which of my photographs truly resonated with the audience. Some performed well, while others didn’t, allowing me to filter and identify my strongest work. In many ways, the audience became my best critic, unconsciously curating my portfolio and giving me the confidence to use those selected photographs for developing my portfolio.

As I went through this journey, I wanted to help other photographers experience the same growth. That is how Pure Street Photography was born.
Initially, we ran a hashtag and featured selected photographers, but with thousands of talented artists, most would only get featured once or twice a year. That wasn’t enough. To bridge this gap, I launched PSP Membership, offering thoughtful curation and consistent visibility, evolving into a thriving street photography community.

Each month, I
personally curate and feature standout work. This process helps members recognise their strongest work which they later use for portfolios, exhibitions, publications, and creative milestones.” — Dimpy Bhalotia Co-founder, Pure Street Photography
