The Pure Street Photography Awards 2025 marked a historic milestone in global street photography, culminating in India’s first dedicated street photography exhibition, hosted at the iconic Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, from 22 to 27 January 2026.

Over 25,000 visitors experienced the exhibition across six days, making it the most talked-about photography exhibition in India.

Judged by David Campany, one of the world’s most influential curators and Creative Director at the International Center of Photography, New York, alongside Dimpy Bhalotia, internationally celebrated photographer and visionary Creative Director, the Awards stand as one of the most respected honours in contemporary street photography.

From 1,160 submissions across 34 countries and five continents, 147 winning and finalist photographs from 33 countries were curated into a museum-scale exhibition that celebrated visual storytelling, spontaneity, timing and the raw moments of everyday life.

For the first time, India hosted a street photography exhibition of this magnitude, uniting photographers, audiences, curators, collectors, students, and cultural leaders under one roof. Thousands of conversations unfolded, countless emotions were shared, and a defining chapter in India’s photographic history was written.

This is history in the making.

This is Pure Street Photography.
